Thank you to those of you who completed our questionnaire following the September Green Monday. We have used your feedback regarding the events sustainability and aim to implement new initiatives for future events. We have also passed on suggestions to the venue so that Green Monday will become a more sustainable event month by month.
We have targeted the most important topics and recurring themes that you have bought to our attention and aim to tackle these issues immediately:
(i) We have asked the venue to increase the amount of storage they provide for bicycles, something that they assure us they have available already, so we will make it more accessible and open for your use
(ii) Along with you, we noticed that the drinks menu could be sourced locally instead, so we have suggested to the venue that they look into sourcing beverages from a local supplier. Reassuringly the venue informs us that it only offers fair trade products.
(iii) With regards to the energy and waste produced at the event, we have requested figures on each of these. We will set targets that we aim to reach by implementing energy and waste saving initiatives in partnership with the venue.
(iv) Communicating the venues environmental policy – to see more about how the Cavendish addresses issues under this umbrella please visit the following link: http://www.mayfaircavendish.com/green/. We will also embed a link to this page within the venue tab under each event.
We will post any and all the feedback we get from the venue as soon as it arrives with us. Watch this space.......
