How the event works

18:00-18:30 Registration (30 minutes)

A chance for some pre-event meetings. There is also the opportunity for pre-arranged meetings organised online, which are available to corp. leaders, influencers and event partners only.

18:30-19:15 News and views

3 or 4 5-minute introductory addresses followed by a panel discussion. The presentations and panel will combine perspectives from: Industry leaders – CEOs, Heads of Sustainability and others driving low carbon programmes within bigger corporations:

1. An insight into one aspect of the climate change challenges facing business; and
2. A view on the latest news and developments.

These talks combine news updates and insights and are not necessarily intended to inform the discussion in the round tables, 1-to-1 meetings or networking.

19:15-20:00 Round Table

45-minute round table discussion - sit at one of 10 to 15 pre-selected tables. Each table will have a chair and a topic proposed in advance. Here is how each table works:

1. Introductions: Everyone briefly explains who they are and why they are interested in the topic under discussion (5 minutes)
2. Topic X: Discussion – the chair will introudce the pre designated topic and keeping to an agenda ensure the discussion keeps to the topic, deriving debate and driving tangible and useful ouput for all involved. (30 minutes)
3. "How to do X": Summarising the discussion with some useful outputs and a set of actions for all to go away with (10 minutes)

A write up will be submitted in the TableWiki. Delegates have the opportunity to read and contribute to this wiki with their own throughts. Each table has a supporting sub-group in LinkedIn that will also host the sontent of the write ups and is accessible for corp. leaders, influencers and event partners only.

20:00-21:00 One-to-One meetings

Set your own meetings up via our online network. We will be developing this aspect of the event over the coming months. Please note that not all attendees will be on the network – there is an opt-out section and currently this tool will only be made available to corp. leaders, influencers and event partners. This gives you the chance to meet people who will make a difference to you and not leave it to chance encounters on the night.
